Meet The Farmers Conference, November 21st - 22nd 2017, Dubai
The Consul General of Ghana in Dubai, Ms. Samata Gifty Bukari and Mr. Simon Atieku, Minister Counsellor in charge of Economic and Political Affairs joined a 3-member delegation from the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) to participate in the “Meet the Farmers Conference held from 21st to 22nd November, 2017 in Dubai, UAE. The delegation was led by the Hon. Gifty Klenam, Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Export Promotion Authority. The Conference which was first of its kind held in Dubai and the Middle East in general, attracted more than 150 participants including Ghanaians and Nigerians who operate in the agricultural sector.
Meeting with the Executive Members of Dubai Ladies Club
In her quest to attract support from the Dubai Ladies Club for the developmental projects in Ghana, Ms. Samata Gifty Bukari, Consul General of the Republic of Ghana in Dubai and Northern Emirates had discussions with the Executive Members of the Club. Issues discussed boarded on women employment, women in leadership positions, education, health among others.

Consul General of Ghana in Dubai and Northern Emirates joined other dignitaries including the Ruler of Sharjah Emirate His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi to participate in the Twenty-Seventh (27th) Graduation Ceremony of the Skyline University College in Sharjah.

Consul General, Ms. Samata Gifty Bukari is making efforts to revive Ghanaian Association in the various Emirates in the UAE. In this regard, a maiden meeting was held between the staff of the Consulate and the leaders of the Ghanaians residing in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman on 6th October, 2017 at the Chancery of the Consulate General of the Republic of Ghana in Dubai

On Tuesday, 3rd October, 2017, the Consul General paid a courtesy call on the CEO of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industries, one of the Emirates in the UAE to introduce herself to him and also find out the best way the Consulate and the Chamber can collaborate to enable the latest members invest in Ghana.

Consul General and the officer in charge of Trade and Investment paid a working visit on 13th September, 2017 to inspect the facility of PACT Engineering Company which has expressed interest in investing in Ghana. The Company is into manufacturing of water purification machines, water pipes among others.
